The Guest Pavilion

The Guest Pavilion at Poggio Posillipo villa

A NEW pavilion

A Quiet Companion

Completed in April 2026, the Guest Pavilion brings the borgo vision fully to life—adding privacy, flexibility, and a second living space for families and friends travelling together.

Design Philosophy

Light as Architecture

The Guest Pavilion’s defining gesture is elemental. Two expansive windows, each spanning six metres in width, orchestrate the relationship between interior and landscape.

The Eastern Window

Frames the rolling countryside toward the north-east—meadows, woodlands, and distant hills. Within this window sits a working fireplace, positioned to anchor evening gatherings with warmth and light. The fireplace becomes both functional and ceremonial—a gathering point where the landscape view and the interior comfort merge.

The Western Window

Captures the gentle descent of afternoon light across the piazzetta itself, transforming the shared courtyard into an extension of the living space. This window is both aperture and mirror, reflecting light and landscape back into the interior.

This architectural decision reflects a singular conviction: every room should possess a view; every view should tell a story of the landscape beyond.

Accommodation & Interiors

Within the cottage’s modest footprint lie the essentials for gracious living:

Total Area

100 square metres

Guest Capacity

Sleeps 14 (Main Villa 10 + Guest Pavilion 4)

  • A single-storey, 100-square-metre pavilion set at the edge of the new piazzetta—close enough to feel connected, discreet enough to feel independent.

  • Two generous bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and an open-plan living and dining space with fireplace.

  • Two six-metre picture windows open the pavilion to the countryside, preserving the piazzetta’s calm geometry while maximising light and views.

  • Luxury here is clarity of purpose and quality of light—quiet, modern, and intentionally understated.

Materials & Craftsmanship

The Guest Pavilion is constructed with natural materials that age gracefully: local stone, timber detailing, and large-format glazing. Every detail—from the proportions of the windows to the placement of the fireplace—reflects a considered approach to building. This is architecture that respects both the landscape and the human need for connection to it.
